Pharaoh (they/them) is a multidisciplinary tarot reader and artist originating from Oakland, CA, currently based in Chicago IL. They are driven by the desire to help others transform their present, and co-create a future that inspires love of self, other, and community. Pharaoh regularly offers pay what you can readings at Loaves and Witches Bakery in Chicago for Tarot Tuesdays. Their time in Chicago also includes regular appearances at The Green Goose Shop, The Andersonville Farmers' Market, Midsommarfest and other local events.
Pharaoh is a curator of liminal spaces and experimental art, including ‘The Poetry House’ in Bombay Beach since 2023, a poetry library and center for the study of language as a technology to translate the feelings of the soul. A published writer, pharaoh teaches poetry to all ages, offers pay-what-you-can readings to community, and curates art installations and performances in the space. As an experienced developer of new plays, they recently directed Dulcinee DeGuere's An Open Door for a Closed World at Sky Portal X Gallery, staging it inside of an art installation created by Gregg Fleishman and Dulcinee DeGuere.
